Texas(America)- Several service-minded people, mostly living in North Dallas, have initiated establishing a Lions Club, Plano Collin Nepalese Lions Club, in Plano, Texas. The Club, which is in the approval process (pending approval) by LCI, coordinated a blood drive on September 29, 2018, in the parking lot of Swami Narayan, Gurukul, in Plano, Texas.

 

This blood drive was a huge success as 74 donors were registered and 43 units of blood were actually collected. Over 150 community members, several Lions and their partner in services came at the blood drive location to cheer up the donors and to support the humanitarian cause.

 

One unit of blood can save three lives; by collecting 43 units of blood, this event helped to save 129 lives. Our best wishes to the new Lions Club that is in process of establishment.
