It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to visit Nepal. Nepal should be visited at least once in a lifetime. Nepal is a destination that should not be missed. Google will return tons of statements like these if you type something similar to “Visit Nepal”, “Why we should visit Nepal” etc. in the search bar. We should not forget to thank Google for this kind of service.

Thousands of foreigners have dreamt of visiting Nepal once their lifetime, because of Google suggestions. However, some foreigners don’t know where Nepal is located. In addition, some visitors have already visited and continue to return. Isn’t it wonderful? Swiss geologist Toni Hagen was the first foreigner to visit Nepal in 1950. He trekked throughout Nepal during geological and geographic survey work and mapping on behalf of the United Nations.

After that the Thomas Cook and Sons organization brought 60 tourists from around the world to Nepal in 1955, who were recognized as foreign tourists by the Government of Nepal. Since 1962, Nepal has been recording foreign tourists. Based on COVID-19’s impact across the globe, when it comes to the year 2024, 2020 stands out as the worst year for Nepal. As a result of this pandemic, 80.78 percent of tourists dropped during this year. Despite this, it was not only a problem in Nepal, but throughout the world as well.

I am assuming, you are calculating now how many tourists visit the tiny country Nepal which is four times smaller than Texas and 67 times than the United States of America. As per the tourism authority data one million tourists visited Nepal in 2023. However, 22 million people visited Dallas alone spending 6 billion US Dollar. This tourism generated a total economic impact of $9.6 billion by directly supporting the hotels, restaurants, local attractions, and employment.

Now you think it is pointless to compare tourists in the whole of Nepal with one metroplex area like Dallas using a calculator. Rather, we should discuss why, how, and when our calculator data are closer in a country versus a metroplex. We even don’t need the state or the national data for the comparison.

We all know why tourism in Nepal hasn’t prospered for several decades despite its efforts and expectations. I don’t want to dive deep into this subject. As a result of political interests and celebrities wearing political shields, tourism has also become infected with a 102-degree fever. Nevertheless, it is the only industry in Nepal that directly impacts people’s lives today. It is not like other industries where government involvement is required for implementation. A tourist typically spends money on accommodation, meals, transportation, sightseeing, and souvenirs while traveling in a foreign country. The most important point is that a happy and satisfied tourist can promote several other people in their communities and friends. Our heritage, culture, hospitality, transportation, and services must remain customer-oriented along with full security and the best customer service.

A flourishing tourism industry can generate money from a variety of sources. One single foreign tourist who wants to climb Mount Everest via a normal route need to pay depending upon the seasons and route level from $2750 to 11,000 US Dollars. However, a domestic tourist needs to pay Nepalese rupees 18,250 to 75,000. Isn’t that a healthy income for the country? Besides attracting foreign tourists, Nepal should also attract domestic tourists. A domestic tourist can spend money just as closely as a foreign tourist.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗹:
You as a Nepali living in the US or any corner of the world, should spread out the voice about the Nepal’s natural beauties and diversities. The major thing you need to do is “Ask”. Unless and until you either ask or spread out the god thing, people will not be focused. Secondly, by visiting yourself or recommend local people to visit Nepal at least once, is a major boost up to strengthen our tourism. By visiting now and supporting local culture and people, you could help a nation rebuild and bounce back even stronger.” For many travelers who have been to Nepal already, there is a real feeling of supporting the people and the economy by going back and encouraging others. These tourists really respond to that, which is possibly one of the reasons that this landlocked mountain kingdom regularly features on these holiday destination lists.

The Nepalese Himalayas, with 8 of the 10 highest mountains in the world lies in the northern region of the country. Hundreds of thousands of trails crisscross the land providing limitless opportunities for walking enthusiasts to get away from it all. Nepal is the best selection for those who would like to experience once-in-a-lifetime adventures.

In conclusion, the majority of tourists to Nepal come from two huge countries: India and China. However, these days tourists come from all over the world to visit Nepal. The costs of an excursion in Nepal are not expensive when compared to the cost in US dollars. It is affordable for many low to mid-level income tourists compared to US currencies. Since Nepal has eight of the ten highest mountains including Mount Everest in the world, birthplace of Lord Buddha, and Nepal has several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, it is a place everyone should visit once in a lifetime. One another amazing thing is the Living goddess “Kumari” you can see. An another fact is that the national flag of Nepal is the only flag in the world that is not quadrilateral shaped. Everything you see and feel is different from anything you felt ever experienced.

Likewise, the national flag of Nepal is the world’s only national flag that is non-quadrilateral in shape. Whatever you see and feel is different from what you felt ever. Explore the world by visiting Nepal.
